Biography: Kirsten Dunst is an American actress and singer. She is also a model and a director. Dunst made her acting debut at the age of three when she starred in commercials. She made her film debut in a minor role in Woody Allen's short film Oedipus Wrecks when she was all of six. However, her real break was in the film Interview with the Vampire, a 1994 film which was based on Anne Rice's novel. Her performance in the movie earned her the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, the Saturn Award for Best Young Actress, and her first Golden Globe Award nomination. She then starred in Little Women, Jumanji, Dick, Wag the Dog, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Crazy/Beautiful, The Virgin Suicides, Bring it On, Get Over It, Levity, The Mona Lisa Smile, Marie Antoinette, All Good Things, The Cat’s Meow (for which she won the Best Actress Silver Ombú category award at the 2002 Mar del Plata Film Festival) and not to forget her most successful movie till date--Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. She made her debut as singer in the film Get Over It. She won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the Saturn Award for Best Actress for her work in Lars von Trier's Melancholia (2011).
