Biography: Belonging to the third generation of the Kapoor family, Rishi Kapoor is the second son of Raj Kapoor. He debuted as a child artist in his father’s Mera naam joker in 1970. In 1973, he was seen as the lead actor in Bobby, which catapulted him to fame. He was cast opposite Dimple Kapadia. He mostly acted in romantic films, many of which were with wife Neetu Singh. His memorable movies include Khel khel mein, Rafoo chakkar, Kabhie kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Saagar, Karz, Prem rog, Hum kisise kum nahin, etc. He even directed a movie – Aa ab laut chalen. Post his retirement as lead hero, he started doing character roles. He was recently seen in Agneepath, Housefull 2 and Jab tak hai jaan. He has two children – daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir. He has been the recipient of the National Award and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
