Biography: Audrey Hepburn is one of the most celebrated actors of Hollywood and a fashion icon of all times. She was the star from the Golden Days of Hollywood. Hepburn acted in minor roles in movies such as One Wild Oat, Laughter in Paradise, Young Wives' Tale and The Lavender Hill Mob. However, her first major movie was Thorold Dickinson's The Secret People (1952), where she played a supporting role. When the all-time classic romantic film The Roman Holiday was released in 1953, Hepburn came a star overnight. The movie was a super success and won the actress the Academy Award for Best Actress, her first BAFTA Award for Best British Actress in a Leading Role, and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama in 1953. Some of her other memorable roles were in Sabrina (1954), The Nun's Story (1959), Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), Charade (1963), My Fair Lady (1964) and Wait Until Dark (1967). The American Film Institute named Audrey Hepburn third among the Greatest Female Stars of All Time and she stands as one of few people to have won the Academy, Emmy, Grammy and Tony Awards.
