Biography: Fagun Ivy Thakrar also known as Fagun Ivy is an English actress and designer who has appeared in a number of English, Hollywood and Bollywood productions. Born and brought up in UK, Fagun studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in London. She won BBC's Bolly Idol and bagged her first lead stage role. For her first cinematic role, Fagun starred as Nabeela in the film, Brick Lane. She then played Mandy Edge for BBC hospital TV series, Holby City. Her other films are Blood and Curry, L.A, and Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told. Recently, Fagun portrayed a character named Rekha opposite Martin Sheen, Kal Penn and Mischa Barton in the American film Bhopal: Prayer for Rain. In addition, Fagun has performed in several Shakespeare plays and has also appeared in commercials. Fagun recently designed her own line, the Fagun Collection and launched on the red carpet with Serena Williams. She is also the international spokeswoman for SAHARA (South Asian Helpline And Referral Agency), that supports women in Southern California through personal crises.
