Biography: Radhika Apte is a film and theater actress who has acted in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil films. Radhika Apte debut was a small role in the Hindi film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! in 2005 followed by a Bengali film Antaheen in which she played the role of a TV journalist. Her other Hindi films are Life Online, The Waiting Room , I Am and Shor in the City under Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Films banner. Her Marathi films are Gho Mala Asla Hava, Ek Marathi Manoos, Amol Palekar's Marathi film Samaantar, Ha Bharat Majha, and Tamil film Dhoni to name a few. In 2013, she was seen in the Bengali film Rupkatha Noy. Apte's first four releases in 2014 were Postcard, Pendulum, Legend and Vetri Selvan in four different languages—Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil, respectively, followed by another Marathi film, Lai Bhaari. Of these Legend and Lai Bhaari were box-office hits. Apte is actively involved with theatre and has done several stage plays, mostly in Marathi language. Some of these plays are Tu, Purnaviram, Matra Ratra, Uney Purey Shahar Ek, in Marath;, That Time and Bombay Black in English; and Kanyadaan in Hindi. Radhika Apte has also acted in a number of. experimental theater, short films, and documentry films. She married musician Benedict Taylor in 2012.
