Biography: Remya Nambeesan is a film actress, singer and presenter. Remya stareted her career as a child artist in the critically acclaimed drama film Sayahnam (2000). She further essayed minor supporting roles in the following years in films including Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Sthithi (2002), Gramaphone (2003), Perumazhakkalam (2004), and Bhoomikkoru Charamageetham (2006). In 2008, she appeared in her first non-Malayalam project, while receiving critical acclaim for her performances in the films Traffic (2011) and Chaappa Kurish (2011). Besides acting, Remya has occasionally worked as a television presenter and singer as well. She has learner Carnatic music and has done playback singing for several films including her own films like Bachelor Party, Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu and Arikil Oraal. She got nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Malayalam for her song "Andilonde" from Ivan Megharoopan. She won awards for the song "Muthuchippi Poloru" from Thattathin Marayathu, which was also one of the top Malayalam songs of 2012. Recently she sung a Ayyappa devotional song, "Muttath ninnu Chirikkum", which has become very popular.
