Biography: Sonali Kulkarni is an film and theater actress from the Marathi industry known for her roles in marathi movies like Doghi, Deool and Hindi movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Singham, Mission Kashmir and Taxi No 9211. She has worked in Gujarati films. Sonali Kulkarni debut was a Kannada film titled Cheluvi directed by Girish Karnad. she went oon to do many notable roles in films like Mukta, Kata Rute Kunala, Chaitra( for which she has received a Special Jury Award (non-feature) in the 49th National Film Awards (2002) , Sakhi, Gabhricha Paus and the most recent Dr. Prakash Baba Amte - The Real Hero where she played the role of Dr. Prakash Amte's wife Dr. Mandakini Amte. In theater she is remembered as Sarla from Makrand Deshpande's famous play Sir,Sir Sarla!. She has worked as an editor with Viva, a supplement of Marathi daily and also use to pen a weekly column called "So Kool". Kulkarni showed her dancing skills in the second season of the popular celebrity-dance competition show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony TV. She has appeared in many films including an Italian film titled Fuoco Su di Me for which she won an award in the 2006 Milan International Film Festival.
