Biography: Terrence Howard is an American actor and singer. He made his foray into acting with a role in The Jacksons: An American Dream, an ABC miniseries. His first big break on the big screen was with Richard Dreyfuss in the movie Mr. Holland’s Opus. Some of the other movies that he has been a part of include Hustle & Flow, Winnie, Ray, Lackawanna Blues, Crash, Four Brothers, Get Rich or Die Tryin', Idlewild, August Rush, The Brave One, Awake, The Perfect Holiday, Big Mamma’s House, The Hunting Party, Idlewind, Pride and Animal, among others. He also co-starred with Robert Downey Jr. in the Iron Man. His performance in Hustle & Flow won him nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. For the same movie, Howard performed all the tracks for his character including ‘It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp’, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 78th Academy Awards.
