R Madhavan: I am happy with my weight
At a time when every other actor in Bollywood is busy getting a sculpted body, Madhavan is extremely happy with his weight
The Jodi Breakers star said, “From Salman (Khan) to Bipasha to my wife, everybody wants me to get a seven-pack or eight-pack abs, but I am just happy with my family pack.”Madhavan feels life has been kind to him and he achieved ‘everything very easily’ and perhaps that’s the reason behind his weight gain. “I have just been very lucky. If I don’t have work and a few of my films flop then I think I will lose weight automatically,” he joked. However, on the serious note, he added, “If I get a film where I have to look lean and nasty, where I have to have six-pack and if I find the story interesting, then I know I can have the best physique in the industry.”Click here to read more
‘Bumboo’ director: Stars don’t guarantee returns
His debut directorial Bumboo is the remake of French hit L’Emmerduer, yet it is sans big Bollywood stars. Budget constraints notwithstanding, Jagdish Rajpurohit says he would have made it with the same cast even if he had more money because stars don’t guarantee returns
“I have a great cast – Sharat Saxena, Sanjay Mishra, Sudhir Pandey… all of them may not be a part of the so called A-list of commercial stars, but they are all popular and have done some wonderful work in their career,” said Rajpurohit.A veteran theatre actor himself, Rajpurohit says he has acted in the film to cut down on the cost of the small budget film. “Otherwise, if I was to be given the same script to be made with a lot more money, I would have made Bumboo with the same bunch of actors. They are spontaneous and wonderful. And stars don’t matter these days,” he said.Click here to read more
