Aishwarya Rai returns ‘Heroine’ signing amount

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan pregnancy not only created news for the fact that she was finally in the family way, but also because it caused much anguish to filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar whose film Heroine got shelved due to the actor’s condition. He went around town saying Aishwarya hid the news from him, even when they travelled together to Cannes in May to promote the film. The makers UTV and Ronnie Screwvala sent an official notice saying they would not expect Ash to work in such a situation. Aishwarya has now returned the signing amount in order to put an end to the constant debate on her professionalism.
