Past two years Ajay Devgn has been having a good run at the box-office, but the Rs 100-plus collection of Singham have proved his star power and credibility. And as a result of that, we hear that the star actor is being paid an astronomical price of Rs 18 crore for the Himmatwala remake, to be directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. Whereas for his the earlier films the Singham star charged a fee between Rs 6 – 8 crore or take a part of profits like most star actors do. And this is the first time the actor has increased his fee. An insider says, “Ajay Devgn is someone who has a fair knowledge of the business and distribution. He has also been involved in the distribution business for some time now. And that’s the reason why he never believed in increasing his price.” But now that he has set the box-office on fire with almost every release, guess he deserves it.Subscribe to me on YouTube
