Even as Amar Singh awaits the result of his bail plea, his protege Jaya Pradha has come out and said that Singh is innocent and he is being targeted. Jaya also defended the Samajvadi party leader and spoke out against her one-time costar Amitabh Bachchan.  “He supported Amitabh Bachchan when he was in crisis but Bachchan is not standing by him. Mulayam’s position was because of Singh — he broke the Mayawati government and made him CM… he did not take any position. So did Congress,” she said to the media. She also called actor-politician Raj Babbar “ungrateful”.
