Bollywood singers Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu visited the grave of Pakistani ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan in Karachi to pay their respects. Mehdi Hassan’s death marked an end of an epoch in the subcontinent’s music history, they said. No one will ever be able to fill the vacuum created by his demise, they told reporters on June 16. Alka said she had grown up listening to his ballads and was in love with his songs Dono jahan teri mohabbat main har kay and Woh ja raha hay koi. The India-born singer died of breathing complications at a private nursing home in Karachi on June 13. His funeral took place Friday. Hassan, who has a huge fan following around the world, had been suffering from lung, chest and urinary tract ailments for the past many years. The Indian singers had come to Pakistan to attend the last rites of the legendary singer but could not obtain a security clearance for the same, Geo News reported.Subscribe to me on YouTube

Wall-DArre mere bhai, agar yahan log ladne ki bajay padh lein toh koi samasya na ho. Who has given the cridet of the song to Salman? He is the face of the song- like all actors are. I have mentioned the name of the music director- sorry can’t name all the technicians coz I can’t. Lyricist I didn’t mention as personally I find the lyrics of the song are pretty regular. Baaki I am someone who can watch Govind Nihalani’s Party and David Dhawan’s Shola Aur Shabnam on the same day and enjoy both equally. And I don’t suffer from the snob syndrome- bash the big stars and sing eulogies on the lesser known ones. I don’t have any such insecurities. PS: I will post a write-up on Party soon. I hope you read it, and more importantly watch the film. It is sheer brilliance. The best Nihalani film in my opinion- better than even Ardhasatya.
