Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh hospitalised in Mumbai

Acclaimed ghazal singer Jagjit Singh was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai today after he suffered a brain haemorrhage and is in a critical state, doctors attending to him said. Doctors at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra performed a life-saving surgery on him, hospital sources said. Singh (70) is under observation and is stated to be in critical condition, they said. Bollywood is still reeling under the shock of Nawab Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi’s loss and this news has further saddened B-towners. Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur posted a message on Twitter, “Praying fr Ghazal Singer Jagjit Singh critically ill in hospital.” Actor Manoj Bajpayee expressed his concern with a tweet that said, “Jagjit Singh ji is not well. let pray for his fast recovery.” We wish the noted Ghazal singer a speedy recovery.

Aap ki ghazale sun ker hi toh main bada hua hoon.Mere liye aap hi ish duniya main ek aise woh shakas ho jin ki awaaz ko main hamesha sunna chauga.Main baya nahi ker sakta ki main apka kitna bada dewaana(fan) hoon.Main khuda se dua kerta hoon ki aap jaidi se jaldi theek ho jaye.Mujhe puri umeed hai,waise mujhe umeed kya mujhe toh pura yakeen hai ki aap jaldi theek ho jayege.Aur fir se mujhe woh hi jaado bahri meethi awaaz sunne ko milegi.
