Veteran actor and one of the most handsome men of B-town, Dharmendra turns 76 today. Originally from Punjab, Dharamji came to Mumbai in search of work in the early ’60s after winning the Filmfare talent award. He made his debut in Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere (1960) and tasted stardom with his convincing performance in 1966 film Phool Aur Patthar. His talent was appreciated widely and with his debonair looks he worked his charm on B-townies and audiences alike. He has appeared in close to 250 films and is considered the ultimate action hero of Indian cinema. Contradictory to his on-screen macho image, Dharamji is known for his calm nature and genuine warmth in real life. Proud father of actors Sunny, Bobby and Esha Deol, Dharamji is apparently gearing up to launch his youngest daughter Aahana in a film.May this evergreen star live long and continue to entertain us in his own delightful style. We wish him a very happy birthday!
