Jagjit Singh’s Latest Health Update: Still critical and in ICU

 

Jagjit Singh was admitted to Lilavati hospital in Bandra, Mumbai on Friday after he suffered a brain hemorrhage and was in a critical state.  Doctors at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra performed a life-saving surgery on him, hospital sources said.  Latest updates suggest Jagjit Singh is still under observation and is stated to be in critical condition in ICU. Bollywood industry is saddened with the news.  Filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor  tweeted “Praying fr Ghazal Singer Jagjit Singh critically ill in hospital.” Actor Manoj Bajpayee expressed his concern with a tweet that said, “Jagjit Singh ji is not well. let pray for his fast recovery.”  Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan posted get well soon messages via his tweet – “T 504 -Just came to know from Lata ji’s tweet famous ghazal singer Jagjit Singh has had a brain hemorage .. Prayers for all to be well ..” We will keep updating you with the latest news on ghazal singer Jagjit Singh’s health & we wish him a speedy recovery.

Aap ki ghazale sun ker hi toh main bada hua hoon.Mere liye aap hi ish duniya main ek aise woh shakas ho jin ki awaaz ko main hamesha sunna chauga.Main baya nahi ker sakta ki main apka kitna bada dewaana(fan) hoon.Main khuda se dua kerta hoon ki aap jaidi se jaldi theek ho jaye.Mujhe puri umeed hai,waise mujhe umeed kya mujhe toh pura yakeen hai ki aap jaldi theek ho jayege.Aur fir se mujhe woh hi jaado bahri meethi awaaz sunne ko milegi.

Jagjeet is a legend he’s the one who made gazals liked by all. My whole family love him to bits! My 4 year old grandson also sings his gazal ‘ma nase me hu’ please jagjeetji get well soon

Ek apki hi ghazals sunkar to duniya ke age khade rahane ki himmat mili he mere to jeene ka sahara ek ap hi ho apki ghazal ka har shabd mera sathi bankar hamesha mere sath raha he mera zeena ab bina apke sambhav nahi.
“jag ne cheena mujhse mujhe jo bhi laga pyara sab jeeta kiye mujhse me hardam hi hara tum har ke dil apna meri jeet amar kar do ban jao meet mere meri preet amar kar do”

It is really sad to learn about Jagjit,s health and wish him speedy recovery and his last concert was in Nov2009 in here in our NYC.I have attended every concert of Jagjit in NY and have met him several times always admired the original style in urdu and sanskrit pronunciation crystal clear.He was probably the first to incorporate the use of guitar in ghazals introduce so many new artists.I trust his health improves and resume music
