Producer director Karan Johar, who has acquired the movie rights of Amish Tripathi’s bestseller The Immortals of Meluha, says he is yet to finalise the director for the big screen adaptation of the bestseller. “People been asking about the ‘Meluha’ book… we are going to lock a director first… then start the screenplay work and then cast LORD SHIVA!” Johar posted on his Twitter page. The Immortals of Meluha is the first in the Shiva trilogy series by Tripathi and it is the story of Shiva, a Tibetan refugee who is taken to Meluha as the king of Meluha believes in the legend that an outsider will be their saviour. Now, that the book is to be adapted into a script, it will be interesting to see who’ll make it as Lord Shiva from B-Town.

Meluha’s a great book. The adaptation of the stories had made the readers more excited. In this case, I would request the producer that special care should be taken to it. The world that the book describes should be visualised properly. The graphics should be good. It would be better if it is animated like ‘avatar’. The film should do justice to the book.
