RA.One Quick Movie Review : Story is all about G.One, not RA.One

The visual effects of the film are worth watching; there has been an effort to give it a gaming-like ambience but the bad guy who plays the title role is missing from the action and it is interval time already

Eversince we found out that Shahrukh Khan is playing the character of Shekhar Subramanium, we had our reservations about how well the ‘Dilli da launda’ would convicingly play a south Indian character; our concern was very well justified. Shahrukh Khan’s RA.One is a film worth watching, if only for its special effects, but the emotional connect (which is the USP of any SRK film) was missing, atleast till the first half. Also, our reviewer birdie adds, that the baddie, Arjun Rampal, who plays the title role of RA.One has been missing in action so far. Worth a watch, yes, but superhit? It doesn’t tug at your tear glands like other superhit King Khan movies, and the worst part is that it wants to and tries hard, too! The emotional connect is largely missing and we hope that somehow the filmmakers manage to bring it across in the second half. Watch this space for a detailed review, but so far, so sad.
