Veteran film star Rajesh Khanna was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Saturday afternoon, said a hospital source. “Rajesh Khanna has been admitted here today (Saturday) during afternoon,” said a hospital source. The news of his ill health has been doing the rounds, but the 69-year-old reassured fans that all’s well with him by stepping out onto the balcony of his Bandra house on Thursday along with actor-wife Dimple Kapadia and son-in-law, actor Akshay Kumar. He even waved out to his fans with a ‘V’ for victory sign. Rajesh Khanna’s manager Ashwin on Wednesday said that the actor had stopped food intake for the “last three or four days”. But the very next day, Akshay Kumar told reporters: “He’s more than fine. He is absolutely fine. Thank you for your concern.” The Anand star, who is known as India’s first superstar, was last admitted to a hospital in April. He recently featured in a TV commercial for Havell’s fan.
