The buzz doing the rounds is that Rajinikanth’s ambitious project Rana might not go on floors at all. Apparently, the superstar is yet to recover fully from his ailment that had caused him to put the film on hold in the first place. Rana requires him to do a lot of heavy-duty stunts and Rajini’s doctors have advised him to take it easy for some more time. So Rana might be shelved in favour of a film that is less strenuous. However, these are unconfirmed reports. When such reports had done the rounds earlier in October, Sunil Lulla of Eros International – who is producing the film – had said that they have no plans to shelve the project and are willing to wait for Rajinikanth to recover fully. He had also said that they are looking for dates in December. So unless the project doesn’t go on the floors in December or there is any official statement before that, we can’t really say if Rana has been shelved and if Rajinikanth’s fans will have to be satisfied with seeing him in a more easygoing role. We wish Superstar Rajini gets well soon.
