Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s mother passes away

Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is mourning the loss of his mother Annapurna, who passed away after prolonged illness on Saturday, September 8. She was 73. Her last rites were performed by the filmmaker on Sunday. The prayer meeting will take place Monday at Gurudwara, C Block, Defence Colony, New Delhi between 4pm to 5pm.

Mehra is known for films like Aks, Rang De Basanti and Delhi-6. Currently, he is busy shooting for the Farhan Akhtar-starrer Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biopic of famous athlete Milkha Singh, fondly called the Flying Sikh.
