Saif Ali Khan who was arrested for assaulting and hitting South African businessman, Iqbal Sharma and his father-in-law at a five-star restaurant has been granted bail. The Agent Vinod actor was arrested at Nariman Point and brought in at the Colaba police station.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Iqbal Shaikh said that it was a bailable offense under section 325 of the IPC . He further added that the complainant, Mr Sharma who was nursing a bleeding and fractured nose reported the matter around 2:30am on Wednesday. Meanwhile, statements of eight individual witnesses are being recorded and the CCTV footage is being scanned to verify if Saif really assaulted the complainant.
