Since past few days Shekhar Kapur’s ambitious project on water woes Paani has been in the news again. It was all thanks to the internationally-acclaimed filmmaker’s tweet: “Press asking why I’ve been seen with Ranbir Kapoor. I really enjoy listening to him. Future of Indian Cinema safe in this breed of new stars.” Immediately the tweet sparked of a rumour that the actor and filmmaker were discussing a film project. Further news came out that apparently Kapur offered a new script to Ranbir, but he didn’t like it. Instead the Rockstar actor asked him about his longstanding Paani. The filmmaker, who has been waiting endlessly for Hrithik Roshan to wrap up his home production Krrish 3, got tempted and offered the role to the young actor. But before the rumour became breaking news, the filmmaker revealed the truth via social networking site. He tweeted: “I’m not replacing Hrithik with Ranbir in Paani.”
So gossipmongers’ can give a rest to their speculative minds there’s no meat in the matter.
