Telugu film industry mourns superstar Nagarjuna’s mother’s death

Telugu film’s superstar Nagarjuna Akkieneni lost his mother Annaporna Akkieneni on December 28 to renal problems. She was 79. Annaporna had been ill for a while and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She’s survived by three daughters, two sons and husband Akkieneni Nageswar Rao. Annapoorna and ANR had been married for 62 years. ANR’s career graph as an actor rose after he married Annaporna in 1949 and he named his studios and production house, which he established in 1976, after her. Annaporna Studios is one of the premiere studios of Hyderabad which has produced many Telugu films. Several eminent personalities from politics, cinema and business were present to pay their condolences to the bereaved family. South sensation Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, NTR Jr, Former Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Balakrishna, media mogul Ramoji Rao, directors S S Rajamouli, K Raghavendra Rao and Puri Jagannadh Producer Allu Aravind and D Suresh Babu were spotted paying last respects to Annaporna Akkieneni.
