Why Dev Anand loved to shoot at cool locations

Location is an essential part of movies. And as far as Dev Anand’s movies are concerned, we’ve seen him trot all over hill stations in his movies. While Hare Rama Hare Krishna was shot in Kathmandu, Tere Mere Sapne from the movie Guide is another song that’s tastefully shot on a hill station. Dev Anand was very fond of wearing jackets, scarves and hat, and his love for such clothing accessories did pose a problem for the hot weather. Apparently, this was the reason why he chose to shoot at cooler locations, preferably hill stations, just to humour his love for closed collars. Dev Anand once confessed in an interview that whenever he saw a nice jacket hanging in a shop, it would compel him to go in and check it out.
