19th Colors Screen Awards: Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan win Best Actor award

The star-studded 19th Colors Screen Awards was hosted by Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar. Ranbir for Barfi! and Irrfan for Paan Singh Tomar won the award for the Best Actor (Male). Vidya Balan was adjudged the Best Actor (Female). Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan took home the trophy in the Most Popular Actor category.

Pritam won the award for the Best Music Director for Barfi! and also for the Most Popular Music, while the singer who walked away with the honours for being the Best Male Singer was Javed Ali for Ishaqzaade. Javed Akhtar won the award for penning the lyrics for Talaash.

Sujoy Ghosh won an award for Kahaani under the category of most innovative Sound Designing and also for the Best Story. Ayushmann Khurrana and Ileana D’Cruz won the award for the Most Promising Debut. And Gauri Shinde bagged the trophy for the Best Debutant Director for English Vinglish.

Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur received the award for the Best Ensemble Cast. And Tigmanshu Dulia won the award for the Best Actor in a Negative Role for the same movie.

Amitabh Bachchan won a special award for being the Legend Of Indian Cinema. And the late Yash Chopra won the Lifetime Achievement Award that was received by his wife Pamela Chopra.

In the category for Supporting Actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Talaash and Dolly Ahluwalia for Vicky Donor emerged as the winners.
