Kamal Haasan has won 3 National Best Actor Awards , 16 Filmfare Best Actor Awards South + 1 Filmfare Best Actor Award Hindi (a total of 17 Filmfare Best Actor Awards) , Kamal is truly the gem of Indian Cinema , and also he is a great filmmaker as well . Amitabh Bachchan , Mamooty , Mohanlal , Rajinikanth , Aamir Khan , Shahrukh Khan , Naseeruddin Shah , and even Dilip Kumar are nothing but choosas infront of Haasan in terms of versatility roles , acting talent , and filmmaking talent . Kamal Haasan has dedicated his whole life to Indian Cinema . Amitabh Bachchan , Rajinikanth and Shahrukh Khan may be the most popular Indian film stars worldwide and overseas but it is Kamal Haasan who has represented India most of it’s time at the Academy Awards or at the Oscars as the American film Awards where Bachchan and SRK are much more popular than them . Kamal’s 7 Indian films as an actor have been submitted by India to the Academy Awards for the category of ” Best Foreign Language Film ” Award whereas only Aamir Khan comes close second with his 5 Indian films which have been submitted by India to the Academy Awards for the category of ” Best Foreign Language Film ” Award . Now Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan are the most popular Indian film stars worldwide and they also have won many International honours worldwide just for their contribution in Indian Cinema but have they represented India most of the times at Oscars as an actor ??????????? no . Kamal Haasan is the only true perfectionist of Indian Cinema and the Greatest among his contemporaries as an actor currently . And even after watching the film Hey Ram the Indian film critics went on to say ” Kamal could’ve won many Academy Best Actor Awards for the film if he was born outside of India ” . Kamal and Aamir films are more appreciated at the Oscars as compared to Amitabh and SRK . SRK as usual , is an overactor as the kinds of films he has been doing from Ra.One to Happy New Year , whereas Amitabh has lost his acting prowess currently as the child artist in Bhootnath Returns did much more better than him and in film Paa he completely overracted in the film .
