Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have a baby boy!
This comes out of the blue for most of us, but it is great news for the actor and his director biwi, who have been trying to have a child for a while now
Super-actor Aamir Khan has been a producer for a while now, while his wife Kiran Rao has launched into her career as a director. The two have worked together and come up with a delightful film, Dhobi Ghat, which won kudos from a wide audience. And now their latest collaboration has finally become reality – on December 1, Aamir and Kiran became parents to a baby boy, via a surrogate mother using IVF at a private clinic in Mumbai. This was done apparently because Kiran had some health issues to deal with, and had suffered a miscarriage in 2009, as Aamir told the world, “I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last two months have been a struggle for us and that is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one. I need time to heal. I will be away for a while.” The happy news was announced in a daily and tweeted by director Kunal Kohli, who said this morning, “Congrats Aamir and Kiran. Lots of love to you and your lil baby boy. So so happy for all 3 of you.” This is Aamir’s third child; he has a son, Junaid, and a daughter, Ira, with his first wife, Reena Dutta. We wait to know more about the new baby and will bet you that it will be as talented as both parents are. Aamir and Kiran, congratulations from all of us at BollywoodLife!
