Aamir Khan – first Bollywood hero on Time Magazine cover?

Aamir Khan has been dealing with various social issues on his TV show Satyamev Jayate, and his efforts have landed him on the cover of this prestigious weekly magazine

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Parveen Babi, it’s Aamir Khan from Bollywood who is topic of discussion on Time Magazine. The contribution Khan has made through his TV show Satyamev Jayate and the issues he has spoken about is what the cover story entails. The cover reads – ‘He’s breaking the Bollywood mold by tackling India’s social evils. Can one actor change a nation?’

Well, we don’t know if he can change the nation but we must say that Aamir is getting noticed in a big way. As he shares the achievement of being on the cover of TM with famous personalities like Rajiv Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza and Dr Manmohan Singh, we are sure it’s a moment of pride for the Dhoom:3 actor. Khan’s grave expression is captured beautifully on the magazine and it complements the cover story perfectly.

Khan may or may not come up with a season 2 of Satyamev Jayate, but his quest for creating awareness about the stumbling blocks gripping India is definitely being appreciated worldwide. Sachin was the last Indian to feature on the cover of TM, and Khan makes sure he carries on the tradition. We wish the actor best of luck!
