The Talaash actor was on his way to Hajj with his mother when he received the news of the veteran filmmaker’s demise
Aamir Khan left for a 14-day pilgrimage with his mother Zeenat Hussain on Friday evening. He was taken aback when he heard about Yash Chopra’s demise due to multiple organ failure after the filmmaker was admitted in Lilavati hospital owing to dengue.
But while Aamir could not be present at the filmmaker’s last rites that took place at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, he does send his condolences from Mecca saying that his heart goes out to Mr Chopra’s wife Pam and sons Uday Chopra and Aditya Chopra. “May God give them the strength to absorb this most tragic, untimely and irreplaceable loss. I will say a special prayer for Yashji here at Hajj,” Khan added.
