Aamir Khan to launch a TV show on Maulana Azad?

The actor has been approached to launch a TV show based on his great grand uncle’s life

Lavlin Thadani who made her TV debut in 1990’s with poet Amrita Pritam’s adaptation of Karma Wali is back on the small screen with a show on Aamir Khan’s great grand uncle Abul Kalam Azad. The makers of the show have been researching on this crucial subject for the last two years and had met a number of scholars and historians before giving a go ahead to the show. The show will showcase Maulana Azad’s entire life story, right from his birth till the death.

Lavlin plans a huge opening for her TV show and hence has requested Maulana Azad’s great grand nephew Aamir Khan to launch the show. Though there hasn’t been any confirmation from the film star as yet, Thadani is hopeful that the Dhoom:3 actor will honour the invite.

Interestingly Aamir too has been planning to make a film on Azad. Lavlin told a leading daily that she will be more than happy to share her research work with Mr Perfectionist if required.

TV and film actor Aamir Bashir will essay the lead role in the show. Lavlin wanted an actor with a husky voice and Aamir suited the bill. Well we wish the makers all the best for this patriotic show on Bharat Ratna Abul Kalam Azad.
