The quirky actor refutes allegations that he’s too shy to bare his torso like his co-stars Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhar. In fact, he’s totally ready to take his shirt off!

Are you wondering why Abhay Deol decided to hide his chest under a vest in the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara promos and the infamous La Tomatina sequence, where all of them get drenched in tomato juice? After all, if Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar can take off their shirts, then so can he, right? Well, we happen to know that Abhay hid his torso so carefully not because he is flabby or even shy. In fact, the actor is quite lean and is one of the few leading men who are in good shape without too much of the beefy muscle. And he has now revealed that he did not take off his vest for the tomato fight (like the others did) for merely very practical reasons. “My stylist and I realised that the tomatoes would get stuck to my chest hair (unshaven, au naturel) and look really bad, regardless of how well developed my pectoral muscles actually are! So we decided to keep the vest on. Everyone thinks I am hiding my body but, really, ask me to and I’ll take off my clothes!” he said. Well, well, Abhay, we don’t mind waiting a little longer for your skin show, but you gotta make sure it’s worth our while!
