Abhay Deol will be seen doing hardcore action in Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh. While he’s keen on showing off his fighting skills, he clarifies that he has no intention of stepping into brother Sunny Deol and uncle Dharmendra’s shoes
Abhay recently said in one of his interviews that he’s doing action only ‘coz the film is set in that genre and he has absolutely no plans of taking the Deol tradition of playing the angry young man, forward. Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh is based on the Maoists in India and revolves around Naxalism. The film stars Abhay Deol, Arjun Rampal, Esha Gupta and Manoj Bapai, and the recent development is that even Kabir Bedi has been roped in for this serious drama.
The movie is slated to release on April 7 and composers Salim-Sulaiman have been working on the music of the film. Abhay’s plate is full as of now and 2012 will fortunately turn out to be a good year for all the Abhay fans out there. Singularity, Shanghai and Rock The Shaadi are movies that Deol will be a part of this year.
The actor has mostly taken up films that have intellectually stimulated him and he says that he gave his nod to Chakravyuh because of the subject. But this time we will get to see him in a different avatar, packing punches and showing his aggressive side. All we can do is hope that Deol puts up an entertaining fight!
