The Dev.D actor’s forthcoming film Rock The Shaadi is not similar to the Raj-Simran love story
Remember the mustard field scene in Jr Deol’s Dev.D? It was director Anurag Kashyap’s tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. This time around, Navdeep Singh’s zom-com, Rock The Shadi is also said to be on similar lines. But, in a recent interview Abhay has refuted the rumours saying, “I don’t know if it’s a tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I think it is more along the lines of Dilwale Dulhania Kha Jayenge considering it revolves around a big fat Punjabi-meets-Zombie-wedding.” Wethinks it is a smart way to intrigue fans of the cult romantic film.
