Gattu aka Abhishek Kapoor’s upcoming film Kai Po Che! is inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life. Here’s the first look of the film!

Those who swear by Chetan Bhagat’s novels just can’t forget Ishaan, Govind and Omi from the author’s widely read The 3 Mistakes of My Life. The book and its interesting trio caught Rock On! director Abhishek Kapoor’s fancy two years ago. We all know that Abhishek is making a film based on Bhagat’s popular novel and he has titled it Kai Po Che! But we wonder what makes the intelligent director opt for a bunch of not widely known actors rather than handpicking well known stars from B-town. After all, the success of Rock On! has placed Abhishek in the reckoning and he could have easily opted for familiar faces.

Sushant Singh Rajput (Pavitra Rishta) will be making his big screen debut in this film with actor Amit Sadh (Ragini MMS) and Raj Kumar Yadav. We hear that Abhishek finalised these three actors after auditioning over a hundred newcomers. Kapoor confirmed to a tabloid that he wants to finish the entire film in one schedule at Vadnagar near Ahmedabad. Kai Po Che! is slated for a 2013 release. We hope that Abhishek will do justice to Chetan’s touching story and newcomers Sushant, Amit and Raj deliver good performances.
