After football which is the next sport on John Abraham’s list?

The JA Entertainment owner is not just going to act in a sports biopic but would also be producing the same

Biopics are the flavour of the season. Every director is coming up with a film on some famous personality’s life. The latest to join the bandwagon is a biopic on Gama Pehlwan, better known as the Great Gama. The film might go on floors by the mid of this year and would be shot mainly in North India.

Our khabrus have informed us that the central role would be portrayed by our very own muscle hunk, John Abraham. The film would be directed by Parmeet Sethi and it was because of John’s close friendship with the director that he bagged the heavyweight role. Parmeet, who wielded the megaphone for the Shahid Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer Badmaash Company, also convinced John to produce the venture under his home banner, JA Entertainment.

John Abraham: 1911 is a mix of Lagaan and Chak De! India

Talking to a leading daily Parmeet confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am going to direct a film on Gama Pehlwan for John. I am looking forward to it. It’s going to be a very credible film.” On being asked about why he wanted John on-board as a producer as well, he informed “John wants good cinema. And that is what I intend to put on the plate.” He was mighty impressed by the kind of ventures JA Entertainment was financing.

Now we hope that the film goes on floors asap and they come out with a film as good as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Else, if it gets delayed then maybe the audiences might not like it, as they would have already had an overdose of biopics—Mary Kom, MF Hussain, Bhagwan Dada, PC Sorcar and so on.
