There were rumours suggesting that Shuddhi was Bollywood’s adaptation of Immortals of Meluha

Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will come together for Karan Johar’s Shuddhi  after almost a decade, many suggested that this duo will portray Shiva and Sati from Amish Tripathi’s best seller. The makers of Shuddhi however rubbished these rumours. And while we are still waiting to find out who will essay the lovable Shiva in this movie, Tripathi has confirmed that there will be another film on his successful Shiva trilogy. Amish who was at the Jaipur Literature Festival said in an interview, “I have signed the deal with a US producer for the first book with an option for the subsequent books. I can’t disclose the name as of now, it will be announced shortly.”

Looks like, we will soon have a Hollywood version of Shiva too. The author of the book is however happy that his work is being appreciated widely and will be transformed into a movie. He added, “Now the Indian film industry is changing. The story is gaining importance. The stars themselves want a good story and they have realised that a good story is important and a great place to get those stories is in books. A bestseller means that the story is out, it is well developed and has been successful already. You know the risk has been reduced.”

We cannot just wait to watch this good read being converted into a good watch(hopefully).Subscribe to me on YouTube
