The Race 2 actor will be seen in a dual role in her upcoming film
Jacqueline Fernandez has confirmed that she’ll be playing a double role in Roy. Jackie will be seen playing a director as one of the characters in the film. The Sri Lankan beauty said, “I am lucky enough to be playing a double role in the movie, one of them being a director! So I am excited about that.” In Roy, Jacqueline will be sharing screen space with Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor.
Apart from Jacqueline playing a double role in Roy, there are several other B-town actors who will be seen playing dual roles in their upcoming films. We’ll get to see Hrithik Roshan playing the father as well as the son in Krrish 3. Katrina Kaif will be playing a double in the Seeta aur Geeta remake. Even Salman Khan, who has played a dual role in Judwaa is likely to play a double role again in Sooraj Barjatya’s Bade Bhaiyya and Anees Bazmee’s No Entry sequel. We also hear that Abhishek Bachchan, who played a double role in Bol Bachchan is likely to do it again for Farah Khan’s Happy New Year.
Double roles were super hit in the ‘70s and ‘80s. But of course, the craze died down after a while. Looks like the super hit formula of double roles is back in trend… While we know that Salman’s screen presence is enough for his fans to be drawn to watch his film; the double role formula is sure to work for him. But, do you think it will work equally well for the other B-town celebs trying their luck with it?
