The Joker director was recently shown the exit door and is no longer the editor of KJo’s upcoming film
Looks like Shirish Kunder’s professional career has hit rock bottom. First his Akshay Kumar- Sonakshi Sinha starrer Joker tanked at the box office. Then Shirish was kicked out from Salman Khan’s Kick. And now Farah Khan’s hubby has lost one more plum project. Our khabroo tells us that there were creative differences between Kunder and Karan Johar. Apparently, Shirish was also taking too long to edit the film which didn’t go too well with the makers of Emraan Hashmi starrer. Finally, KJo and director Rensil D’Silva decided to look for a replacement as problems kept growing between them and the Tees Maar Khan producer-writer.
Reportedly, Karan has now roped in director Amol Gupte’s wife Deepa Bhatia as the editor for his film. The duo earlier worked together on My Name Is Khan and Student of the Year. In fact, buzz is that Deepa has already started working on Ungli. As for Mr Kunder, he is focusing on his next directorial project, we hear.
