The Grand Masti actor is supporting a social cause which promotes blood donation
Besides concentrating on films, Vivek Oberoi has also been very focused about his charitable work. However, the Yuva actor this time has gone a step forward and vowed to collect one lakh unit of blood for donation in eight hours. While the task is not easy, Vivek is all set to take up the challenge.
This will be a first of its kind experiment and if successful will be given recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records. Speaking to a leading daily Oberoi said, “An entry into Guinness Book will surely encourage more people to donate blood. It will also set new benchmark for everyone.” Jr Oberoi will be the first one to donate the blood.
Interestingly, Vivek is not the only Bollywood star who’s making an attempt to be registered in the prestigious records. Previously, actress Priyanka Chopra’s name was also sent for doing 12 different characters in What’s Your Rashee. Akshay Kumar’s film Boss too broke the record of a 2009 documentary This Is It, by making the largest film poster ever.
Well we must applaud the Prince actor’s efforts for community service. Way to go Vivek!
