In 2012, when Salman was shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Mardin, Turkey, he got a cafe renamed after himself. And now, it looks like Sridevi has followed the suit
Sridevi garnered a lot of praises from the critics and masses alike when she made a comeback with English Vinglish. Ever since then, people have been waiting with bated breath for her next film. But the Mr India actor’s popularity has reached a new level altogether, it seems. From what we hear, a restaurant in Japan is starting ‘Shashi (Sridevi’s name in English Vinglish) Special Meals’ coinciding with film’s premiere there. Yes, you read that right! So what’s in this special meal, you ask? Chettinadu chicken curry, jusmine rice, curd, lemon rice, chappati, idli, cocunut chutney, lemon achaar, Madras style coffee and of course some delicious laddus considering Sridevi made them in the film. We are sure, this meal is going to be a hit amongst all the peeps in Japan.
But Sri isn’t the only B-town star, who has become a foodie’s delight. When Salman Khan was shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Turkey, he got a cafe renamed after him. Apparently Salman and the rest of the crew would often visit Cafe Del-Mar, which was close to their shooting location. The actor, however, decided that the place needed a facelift, and went on to suggest various changes. Towards the end of their stay, Cafe Del-Mar was a completely new place and hence it eventually came to be known as Salman Khan Cafe.
