The Dhoom:3 actor has apparently zeroed on the script of the next film he will be directing
Aamir Khan’s life seems to be all work and no play. The perfectionist Khan, who is still riding high on the phenomenal success of Dhoom:3, is currently shooting for his next film P.K, which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani. But that isn’t the only thing on the actor’s plate right now. Apparently Aamir is all set to wear the director’s hat yet again after Taare Zameen Par, and we hear that he has finalised the script for this new venture with the help of his brother Faisal Khan.
As you will remember, Taare Zameen Par created quite a controversy – it was Amol Gupte who was directing the film initially, but due to ‘creative differences’ between Aamir and Amol, the actor decided to take over, while Gupte was practically elbowed out of the project. And all of that worked for Aamir… and how! Because Taare Zameen Par not only won a National Award, but also impressed the audiences and critics alike. Gupte said very little about this whole drama, but went on to make a fairly well-received movie for children (Stanley Ka Dabba), apart from acting in films like Bheja Fry, Urumi and Phas Gaye Re Obama.
Though this will be Aamir’s film second film as director, given the perfectionist he is, some peeps from B-town have on occasion said that the actor directs his own part in every film that he does. So was that what led to a tiff between him and Amol and to stress on the sets of Dhoom:3? Well, we don’t know, but we do know that we are looking forward to Aamir’s next as director – aren’t you?
