It’s been five years since the Bachchan couple said ‘I do’. But we are sure this will be their happiest anniversary till date for obvious reasons

Five years ago, the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai tied the knot with her beau Abhishek Bachchan on April 20, 2007 in a traditional ceremony attended by family members and close friends from the film fraternity. Back then a lot of people who believed they were good friends with the Bachchans got upset coz they weren’t invited for the big-day. But we are hope it is a forgotten past now. Or maybe not!

Ash-Abhi’s love story began six years ago – when they met again on the sets of JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan. Prior to that Aishwarya and Abhishek had worked together in their friend Rohan Sippy’s film, Kuch Naa Kaho. However, both were romantically involved with other people so even if sparks flew they didn’t take notice or preferred not to. Ash was dating Vivek Oberoi and Abhi was involved with Karisma Kapoor. By the time they began shooting for the remake of Muzzaffar Ali’s film with the same name, both actors’ relationship status had changed. Ash and Abhi were single and had had their share of ups and downs in love. But we think the romantic mood of the film and the dreamy palatial locations of Uttar Pradesh provided a perfect setting for the two co-stars to find love again, this time in each other. And they did! Ash-Abhi realised they had found a partner for life in each other and the wedding date was set.

More than four years later, on November 16th, 2011, Ash after going through a series of medical tests to get pregnant, had her first child with Abhi – a baby girl. And now the newly turned parents are ready to form their own little family of three. That’s the reason, we think, this year their wedding anniversary will be special in more than one way.
