Industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita invited Bollywood’s who’s who to celebrate designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla’s 25 in the fashion world

Bollywood’s beautiful people had a glitzy night out at the famous Antilla, business tycoon Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s lavish high-rise family house. The occasion: silver jubilee celebrations for fashion duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

Many stars made an appearance at the big bash, but the one who caught all our attention was none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She was accompanied by Paa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law Shweta Bachchan. Hubby Abhishek is on duty, shooting in Chicago for Dhoom:3.

Dressed in a full-length black ensemble with bright embroidery, the Bachchan bahu looked beautiful. Not very tough with a flawless face like that, no! Even though she still hasn’t knocked off the post-pregnancy weight, Ash seems to be getting back her curves. Either that or she is finally learning to choose the right outfit (like wearing black to hide the unwanted kilos). Ahem Ahem. Did the celebrity mommy finally succumb to the critics’ censure for not living up to her image of a flawless beauty? But let’s not go any further on the sensitive topic.

Tabu, who’s vanished from Bollywood’ big screen, looked nice in an elegant black-and-white Anarkali. Madhuri Dixit-Nene with doctor hubby Dr Shriram Nene made the perfect picture of a beautiful and happy couple.

Another Bollywoodian who walked hand-in-hand with his better-half, Adhuna Akhtar, was Farhan Akhtar. We like his new hairstyle – the pony tail. Among the new breed of rising stars was Deepika Padukone who looked stunning in an off white Anarkali, whereas her contemporary Kangna Ranaut stuck to a checkered dress accessorised with a pastel shoes, bag and edgy eyewear. The Krrish 3 babe definitely invited attention, but not for the right reasons. Vintage or bohemian or mutant: what style was she exactly flaunting?

Anyway, it was a night where everyone dazzled, but most of the starry male brigade of B-town was missing in action. We guess they had bigger and better things to do than attend a fashion bash!
