Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to help raise funds for AIDS at Cannes 2012
The actor will not just walk the red carpet, but also attend the L’Oreal Paris- amfAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) dinner at the Cannes Film Festival this year
Aimed at raising funds and increasing awareness about AIDS, the amfAR dinner will be held on May 24-25 and Ash is all set to make her presence felt at the event.
The actor said she was proud to be associated with such a cause and that it’s a privilege to be a part of this gathering. “Eleven glorious years….the journey so far has been remarkable and truly memorable. This year I am especially privileged as I also get to lend my support to a very important cause at the amfAR dinner by helping raise funds for the fight against AIDS,” she said recently.
Other key celebrities expected at the soiree are Gwen Stefani, Milla Jovovich, Aimee Mullins, Liya Kebede, Doutzen Kroes, Natasha Poly, Julianna Margulies and Diane Keaton. The list also includes Kenneth Cole, Milutin Gatsby,Alec Baldwin, Michel Hazanavicius and Berenice Bejo, Ryan Kavanaugh, Karl Lagerfeld, Hugh Laurie, Carine Roitfeld and Harvey Weinstein.
