The filmmaker is apparently planning to make a prequel of Gangaajal
You have to agree with us that whenever Prakash Jha and Ajay Devgn have come together for a film, they have nailed it. Be it Satyagraha, Rajneeti or Gangaajal, this duo has garnered a lot of praises. Now we have heard that, Ajay and Prakash are coming together for yet another serious film. If the recent reports are anything to go by, then the filmmaker is writing a prequel to his critically acclaimed police drama Gangaajal which released 10 years ago. The film was inspired by the Bhagalpur blinding incidents had Ajay playing the lead role.
Ajay who played the role of SP Amit Kumar in Gangaajal has been approached by Jha to play the same role yet again in the prequel as well and apparently Ajay has given a nod to Prakash. Our source tells us, “During the making of Satyagraha, Jha had discussed the idea of a prequel with Ajay. Ajay loved the concept and told him to go ahead with it and Jha told his team of writers to start working on the script. Ajay is currently busy with Prabhu Dheva’s Action Jackson but he is in touch with Jha about the developments in the script.”
We are really excited about the prequel of Gangaajal. Are you?
