Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty awarded ‘Pride of the Nation’

The super successful actor-director duo was honoured with ‘Pride of the Nation’ award for spreading the message of patriotism and secularism through their film Singham

The powerful actor-director combo of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty smashed the box office records last year when their film Singham touched the Rs 100-crore mark. Such has been the effect of Rohit’s film that the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) organised a programme at Vigyan Bhawan to felicitate Ajay – who is the brand ambassador of Maharashtra Police – and Rohit for their contribution in creating social awareness.

On the occasion of National Police Day 2012, the widows of the martyrs of the resolute soldiers of the Indian army came up on the dais to present the honours to Ajay and Rohit. The actor-director also presented the Singham bravery award to Madhurani Teotia, IAS, in the fond memory of her late husband Narendra Kumar, IPS, who lost his life while battling the mining mafia in Madhya Pradesh.

Let’s hope this award inspires the duo to make Singham 2 braver, bigger and better!
