Ajay Devgn battles mosquitoes for Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala: watch making

Take a look at the first four days of shooting of this 1983 remake

Himmatwala starring Ajay Devgn and south star Tamannaah is all wrapped up and set to release on March 29. But we got a sneak peek into the first four days of the film’s shooting and cracked up seeing Ajay battle the mosquitoes to get his shots right.

Director Sajid Khan never does a retake of his mahurat shot and so the leading man Ajay had to get it right in the first take. The mosquitoes kept disturbing Ajay during rehearsals and he warned Sajid that they could wreck his mahurat shot. But in the end, everything went off well as Ajay got his lines right and the mosquitoes stayed out of the shot. But the mosquitoes continued to mingle with the cast and crew for several more days to come.

We loved what Ajay said to Sajid after the first shot though. “Is it loud enough for you?” he asks. If this one scene was so loud and over the top, we wonder how the entire film will be! And how will we sit through this shrill movie? Guess we’ll have to get busy spotting the mosquitoes on the screen!

Watch the video and tell us if you are looking forward to this Himmatwala remake.
