Given his successful run at the box office, Akki is certainly minting unbelievable moolah. He has outnumbered the Khan trio by paying the highest advance tax for the sixth consecutive year
Akshay Kumar has had a dream run at the box office. He’s been churning out commercially successful films with incredible ease. Akki delivered back-to-back hits like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore and OMG: Oh My God! in 2012. The only venture that did not bring in the moolah was Himesh Reshammiya’s over the top action drama Khiladi 786. And this year too, Akki gave us the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Special 26. He has stayed on top of the game, and with success has come amazing moolah. And Akshay has emerged as B-town’s highest advance tax payer for the sixth consecutive year.
The 45-year-old star has apparently paid Rs 18 crore as advance tax for 2013, outnumbering the top three Khans — Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Last year too, Akki had paid a whopping Rs 20 crore as advance tax. One hears that after Akki, it’s Sallu and SRK who feature as No.2 and No.3 in the list of highest advance tax payers of 2013.
