The actor is working hard for a leaner look in the remake of Thuppakki

Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of an army captain in the remake of Thuppakki. It seems he needs to shed kilos for his interesting ‘man in uniform’ look. We also hear Sonakshi Sinha will be his co-star in the film and the actors will start shooting from December 20, since the director of the film AR Murugadoss considers the Christmas week extremely lucky.

‘Akshay is one of the fittest heroes in India. But to play the soldier, we want him to be slightly fitter. His shoulders should become more streamlined and his frame should be slimmer. Akshay has the physique for the role. He just needs to lose a little more weight and become slightly sharper around the edges,” said Murugadoss.

Akshay will also sport a cool crew cut in the film. Along with his weight, even his hairdo is going to be a surprise package in the movie. And since the director really wants Akshay to look like a real officer, the actor is leaving no stone unturned to look like a fit and handsome jawaan. We wait to see Mr Kumar in a leaner and a dashing avatar!
